We are... help for the hungry, homeless, in-need of counseling and guidance. Through our reaching out efforts, we are able to help many charitable organizations help others in need. Through our monies raised in the Church, we are able to assist various charitable organizations locally and internationally who are in dire need of support. Our committe members are also involved "hands on" by organizing various fund raising affairs and participating in charitable projects. TheChristian Involvement/Peacemaking Committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00PM. |
Why We Exist...Through personal commitment to their faith and God, CI committee members assists various non-profit organizations to help relieve problems that exist, or may potentially exist. These organizations are in relation to anything from hunger to domestic violence to peacemaking. Committee members consistantly gather information regarding these issues, and become instrumental in creating task forces to assist in resolutions. This may even entail the promotion of letter writing within the congregation to our state Congressman and Senators, and/or the White House. |
Who we are involved with...Promoting Fair Trade Presbyterian Peacemaking Program The Four Denomination Offerings, sponsered by CI annually. |
