Music Programs
The Music Programs at the Setauket Presbyterian Church carry a long standing tradition of fun, fellowship and spiritual enrichment. The choirs are an inspirational way of expressing our thanks and praise to God. Everyone is invited to experience and explore their faith musically. For information on how you can get involved in our music program: call Robert E. Price at 941-4271. Senior Choir The Senior Choir rehearses Thursday evenings and sings at Sunday services as well as other special occasions. The choir, under the guidance of Music Director Emeritus Mark Orton, became a versatile vocal ensemble that is capable of singing anything from Renaissance masterpieces to the latest Contemporary Christian anthem. New members are encouraged to join. The Youth Choir is open to all children who love music. It rehearses Sundays at 5:00 PM and sings periodically at church services and other special events from September to June. The children who participate learn the value and feel the joy of traditional and contemporary church music. This fun-loving, hard-working handbell choir meets regularly on Monday evenings. It enhances the Sunday morning services periodically, and is occasionally asked to provide music for community events. If you know how to count, you too can join this companionable group.
